The show ran from 1956-1959 and were composed of films taken by explorers and adventurers during their travels around the globe. In this episode, Mr. Paul Chow accompanies Mr. Stevenson to narrate his and his crew’s 4-month journey on the Chinese “junk” ship the “Free China.” They sailed from Keelung, Taiwan (Formosa) to the United States, hoping to take part in a yacht race. Mr. Chow also published a book on his voyage called “The Junk that Challenged the Yachts“, released in 2012. The Harbor of Keelung, Formosa is shown (0:40).
