The Balkans is considered Europe’s powder keg ready to explode any minute now. We ought to abolish this title and work towards a better future. Work towards peace. Through this video, I hope I am showing you that each and everyone mentioned is so similar with one another and fighting (verbally or worse) brings nothing in the end. It declared independence from Serbia in 2008, and has since gained diplomatic recognition by 97 member states of the United Nations. The map chosen is defined by the Soča–Vipava–Krka–Sava–Danube border suggestion. Entirely in the peninsula are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia. Mostly in the peninsula are Croatia (southern mainland), Greece (Macedonia, Thrace, Thessaly, Epirus, Central Greece, Peloponnese), Italy (Trieste and Monfalcone), Romania (Dobruja), Serbia (Central Serbia), Slovenia (southwestern part) and Turkey (Eastern Thrace). Italy is not considered a Balkan state. Slovenia is also not considered a Balkan state by ethnologists, due to it being part of the Austro-Hungarian empire thus having Central European mentality and culture. Greece is a Western country with a Mediterranean culture.
