Silverback Gorilla Mbeli in Outdoor Habitat for the First Time - Cincinnati Zoo

Mbeli is adjusting well to his new home, showing confidence in both his behavior and appetite! Currently, Mbeli has been able to meet The Chew Crew through a “howdy mesh“ set up. This allows everyone to see, smell, and touch each other without being in shared space. As we see everyone get comfortable with each other, animal care professionals will allow them to share space and be fully together. We’ll be sure to share updates as things progress!
