The great dying

For 200 years European governments watched their plan unravell as their biological warfare ripped through the indiginous people of the continent known today as America. Disease of which the people had no immunity depleated the population so fast that so much great culture and knowledge was lost forever. Once depopulated, the Europeans found it easy to invade, claim, and rebuild in their own image; New England, and the rest of North America. The people unaware of this malicious attack, believed the torture and death brought on by unknown sickness was punishment from the spirit gods and called this catastrophic event: The great dying.
