Dinosaur eggs - These “old school“ classics pack a punch for super corals

What do dinosaur eggs and spectrum have to do with a reef tank? Andrew has added even more light to his 17,000-gallon display tank in halides in a rare back-to-the-future moment. And to use the best light he used in the past, he went through the many halides he had collected over the years. Always nice to have the space to store stuff you think you will never use but end up using. The variety of bulbs he had collected over the years was incredible, from the old Ushio to Radiums. Just as impressive, he even still had the “Lumenarc“ reflectors. Watching these reflectors go into place in the cramped space above the tank shows how it used to be when halides were the lights of choice. If you watch nothing else, check out the last few moments when the halides are on and look like a ray of sunshine striking a reef at dusk. *************************** ☛ SUBSCRIBE for the latest *************************** ☘ GIVEAWAYS more!
