Rock-Ateile (one the many variations you can spell this band’s name, you’ll notice I spell it wrong) was a group led by Kris Kelmi, who was one of the forefronts of soviet pop music at that time. Set up in the Lenkom Theater of Moscow, Kelmi had left Autograph (another very popular russian band, famous for their prog albums and performing on Live Aid) in 1980 and had accepted an offer from Mark Zakharov the theater director to get a group together to participate in the performances held there.
