At 19:58 or so, we heard far away claps, first single claps. It was a long time of single pops. Only now I realize that it was literally 1-1,5 minutes. Not a single notification or security guard ran into the hall with information about evacuation. People were making videos in anticipation of the Picnic concert. We bought tickets for the mezzanine for the first time in a long time - that’s what saved us (the terrorists came in from the parterre from the parterre gallery. The crowd was moving towards the exit (there was an inscription). Again from behind we heard shots in the distance, a queue. We ran out into the street. Phones in hand, spouse in hand, alive and well. From behind, again a queue as if on the street. We’re running again. Walk. Let’s go. Shocked. There are cars with drivers waiting at the registers. People are knocking and shouting to leave - “there’s a terrorist attack“. We’re all going in in droves. We pass Vegas. I remember the clothes at Crocus with the car keys. Car’s in the street parking lot. I don’t care. We go to the bridge over the river-- pedestrian bridge. There’s a gunshot in the distance, or someone in a sports car. We’re running lightly again. We run past the Vegas mall, there are people sitting quietly in cafes and buzzing around the mall. No one is being warned by Crocus. Everyone’s walking around. We ran across the bridge. We called a cab in only shirts - we walked about 1-1,5 km. Called a cab and went home. Alive and well. We’re recovering from what happened.
