TheCGBros Presents “Acorns“- Episode 1- by Tonko House - The Acorns project is the story of three small acorns on a journey to become great oak trees, but it is also the journey of their small studio to test the limits of what they can do as filmmakers and animators. Through these stories, they want to inspire curiosity throughout the world. Started as a technical project, their ambition was to create a pipeline from story to final renders that can run with a minimal number of artists. This is why they relied on simple camera movements and animation rigs, as well as techniques like Photogrammetry for modeling and shading, and HDR captures for lighting in order to facilitate automation whenever possible.
