This is also a trumpet call to social media/reality TV to clean up its act and be nicer. It is a call to the new minister of DCMS to lead the way gloabally and set up proper support for performers, protection for viewers and regulation for platforms and producers. The Rt Hon Michelle Donelan needs to move fast to undo the damage done by the posturing, unprofessionalism and self-serving dither of her predecessor.
