Reginald King (1934)

Titles read: “NOW Pathe Pictorial presents - Another Radio Favourite - REGINALD KING and his Orchestra. Millions have heard this orchestra on the air ... here it is on the screen.“ Pathe Studio, London. Various shots of Reginald King and his orchestra playing in the studio. The group is made up of two pianists (one of which is Reginald), four violinists, a cellist, a bass player and a clarinet player. The tune is probably ’The House Beautiful’. Intercut with shots of radio aerials and transmitter stations (looks a little odd with the romantic tune they are playing). Amendment October 2011: A visitor to the site has written in with corrections for this description. The instruments are not 4 violins, but 3 violins and 1 viola. The second “pianist“ is in fact playing a Mustel Harmonium with Celesta on Upper Manual. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
