More space news and info at: - on September 29, 2008 the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) Jules Verne entered the upper atmosphere at an altitude of 120 kilometers and broke up at an altitude of 75 kilometers - the remaining fragments falling into the Pacific Ocean some 12 minutes later.
