What Is the Trinity? The Trinity means that God the Father Jehovah, God the Son Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit are one God, not separate entities. In order to understand the meaning of the Trinity, let’s think about the changing states of water. Water, ice, and vapor are different in form and name, but they all have the same substance [H2O].
