KAYAK TEST: Itiwit Race 500 initial tests & re-entry practice (Decathlon inflatable kayak)

This is my first impressions video of the Itiwit #Race500, with some footage and quick notes on early test impressions. More extensive reporting on this will follow in later videos! The new #Itiwit Race 500 inflatable kayak is available since late summer 2023, and thanks to kind efforts by the @itiwitbydecathlon6708 management team and @DecathlonSweden (much appreciated!), I’ve received a sample Race 500 kayak for testing and review. Special thanks to my friend @paddlaistockholm for assistance and much of the filming/photo during the first in-water test with the kayak. Note that I state in the video that this is not for breaking waves - well, it can be, for an experienced paddler, but for most, I’d say this is best as a fast exercise/race kayak on relatively calm water. The official specs are that it’s not for *surfing* breaking waves or for paddling in waves over 1 m in height. I am wearing a drysuit, neoprene gloves, etc during the test as this is in late fall in Sweden with almost near-winter temperature water and air. Obviously, it would be more convenient to paddle in summer gear...
