If you want to draw characters you probably also want to get a good idea of how to get consistent head proportions. For some this is easier than others, but for most, we need a good foundation to base the sketch off of. The Loomis method is a perfect way to get consistent and well proportioned heads, which Ill talk about in this video, as well as making physical model.
