Gangabal Lake trek is the most beautiful and popular trek in Kashmir. This scenic journey is about two sacred alpine lakes - Nundkhol and Gangbal - which are located in the lap of Mt. Harmukh 5146 m above sea level. Gangabal lake is considered sacred in Hinduism as one of the abodes of Shiva, and Kashmiri Hindus perform an annual pilgrimage to the lake called Harmukh-Gangabal Yatra.
