This is copyright 1944 and was directed by Beth Zinkan aka Elizabeth Zinkan, who also produced “Craftsman at Work“, “Trees That Reach the Sky“ and several other films. “Cattle Country“ offers a portrait of cowboys and ranching in the foothills of southern Alberta. Segments on the round-up, cleaning, spraying, feeding and shipping illustrate some of the less dramatic jobs involved in bringing Canadian beef to the world’s tables.
