From the psychedelic jam band SHAG’s first live streaming concert “LIVE STREAMING FROM TOKYO EPISODE III - THE SHAG STRIKES BACK -“ held on Thursday, May 20, 2021, the band has released an even more elaborate mix of “THE CAGE“! With a shocking relaunch in December 2020, SHAG is the dopest and most radical 2020s jazz-rock of all time. The lineup consists of SUGIZO (Gtr & Vln), KenKen (Ba), one of Japan’s leading bass heroes and a member of early SHAG, Shinpei Ruike (Tp), one of the top improvisers of our time, Kazuhiro Bessho (Key)of a brilliant keyboardist formerly of Yasei Collective, SUGIZO’s longtime bandmate and extremely versatile percussionist Kenji Yoshiura (Per), and the amazing new generation of skillful player Yukino Matsuura (Dr).
