There she meets Mungo, a dog that appears to have given up hope of ever being adopted. It’s love at first sight and soon they’re inseparable. The story starts just a few days after Christmas. But not all miracles are forever. Spooked by a storm, Mungo panics and dashes out of the house but can’t find his way back. The girl desperately tries to find him but as summer passes and winter sets in, it seems like Mungo isn’t coming back.
