Grand Canyon ADV Moto Camping 3 Days 360 Miles 15 Motorcycles. New Firebox Stove Cooking Technique!

“My First Real Adventure Ride“ This is my first year riding an adventure bike (Husky 701LR). So far I’ve only gone solo tripping, which was fun and felt like an adventure at the time, but this was so much more! After this trip I know what it means to go on an “Adventure Ride.” When Gary invited me to join him on a Grand Canyon group ride, I didn’t hesitate at taking him up on the offer. The moment everyone showed up at the predetermined starting point, I began to wonder if I would be able to keep up with these guys. They seemed to know what they were doing, which I realized later was an understatement. I’m pretty much a noob when it comes to motorcycles. I bought my first bike last year (XT 250), which I used to “get the hang of“ off-road riding in our foothills. I did a lot of slow riding over soft ground and snow, weaving around sagebrush to gain “correction muscle memory,“ which helped me on this trip.
