Our yearly Pop-Up Shop is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events for our team at Checkpoint. For us, the year really seems to be centred around it. Even with a full year’s worth of planning, it always seems to arrive before we know it. The success of the last few year’s events set a high bar, but I believe we’ve managed to surpass it with this year’s Pop-Up Shop and in a big way our sponsor Lordco Auto Parts allowed us to do that.
This time, we were able to host the event at a much bigger lot and spend far more time working on small details like signage and branding. We offered a wider selection of quality products and significantly more Checkpoint-branded items. As a result, we optimized our point-of-sale system by having a fully skewed inventory list and two payment processing stations. We were particularly thrilled to introduce some new designs, which made their grand debut at the event.
The best part of our pop-up shop is how it unites people from all corners of the car culture community. Whether you’re into kaido racers, drift cars, stance cars, or classic kyusha, we aim to celebrate the full spectrum of low-style Japanese vehicles.
Our goal is to create an inclusive space where enthusiasts of every subgenre underneath Japanese car culture can come together and bond over a shared love for unique and stylish cars. It’s been truly exciting to witness how, despite differing opinions and tastes, everyone finds something to appreciate in each other’s passions. It goes to show that dedication to quality and ’doing things right’ is recognized regardless of which subgenre you find yourself in.
We’re overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and the sense of community that surrounds us. Gathering with so many friends and fellow enthusiasts fills us with a joy that words can hardly capture. Thank you for making this day unforgettable. Thank you for attending, thank you for volunteering, thank you for supporting our store and thank you for watching our video.
This video was shot almost entirely by the newest addition to our creative team, Cole Duncan, so if you’re reading this say something encouraging about the huge level of effort he put into making sure Dylan had enough footage to make this video with.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you all again at next year’s Pop-Up Shop.
