VR SEX - “Walk of Fame“ (Official Video Starring Angelyne)
Los Angeles acid punks VR SEX hit Hollywood with “Walk of Fame“, a tribute to those who reached for the stars. From their sophomore album “Rough Dimension“, out March 25, 2022 from Dais Records. Pre-order ➦
“In 2021, as Covid regulations began to lift and foot traffic in the city increased, myself and director Jai Love started frequenting the Hollywood Walk of Fame in an effort to document the present-day cast of characters and personalities that make up this colorful stretch of sidewalk. In our travels we befriended what some would call a Jesus impersonator who goes by the name of Jesse Christmas. While donning Christ-like garb and a crown of thorns, in no way does Jesse claim to be the second coming of Christ, nor does he profess any sort of religious dogma; he mostly just likes to walk around Hollywood Blvd dressed as Jesus because according to him “the dude had sick style”. When we approached him to be in our music video Jesse obliged but under one condition: He also wanted his rock n’ roll alter ego “Clark Nova” to be featured. “Walk Of Fame” is both an audio and visual chronicle of a day in the life of Jesse Christmas aka Clark Nova. “

“Walk of Fame“ lyrics:
A simple vision
A street where hopes can come to die
A padded prison
You’ve locked yourself inside
No consolation prize no sympathy
American dreams drain out to the sea
You sang them your song
you sang it with all your heart
Could do no wrong
And a whisper of fame was just enough for you to play the game
But not for long
Aspiring actors, stolen souls, and dying stars
You tried to make it your new home Alone on the boulevard
You sang them your song
you sang it with all your heart
Could do no wrong
And a whisper of fame was still enough for you to play the game
But not for long
You sang them your song
you sang it with all your heart
Could do no wrong
And when they whispered your name you thought that was your cue to board your train
You didn’t ride for long
Love me
Don’t leave me
Believe me
I’m something more than knocking
at the door of opportunity
Love me
Don’t leave me
Don’t tell me
I’m nothing less than something blessed by him,
and I always win
Love me
Don’t leave me
Believe me
I’m something more than knocking
at the door of opportunity
Love me
Don’t leave me
Don’t tell me I’m nothing less than God or Jesus Christ
Don’t deserve this lot in life
I don’t deserve this lot in life
I don’t deserve this lot in life
