No Animal Should Ever Be A Number

We recently welcomed home a group of 10 sheep, along with 3 alpacas, to The Gentle Barn Tennessee. They were headed for slaughter, but we were able to intervene and offer them the happy lives in sanctuary that we wish for all animals. Together, they’re known as Kody’s Flock, after a generous donor. But now it’s time for each of these boys to get their own unique names to show them that they’re starting their new lives as individuals. The Gentle Barn is a non profit animal sanctuary with locations in Los Angeles, CA, Nashville, TN, and St. Louis, MO. We rescue neglected and traumatized animals from all circumstances, we rehabilitate them, and when they’re ready we partner with them to heal people with the same stories of trauma. We rescue cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, emus, llamas, donkeys, and more.
