Insight in opera Valentina / Ieskats oper Valentna
Insight in the first opera by Latvian composer Arturs Maskats. The opera is inspired by the dramatic fate of the Latvian film scholar Valentina Freimane during the Nazi occupation. World premiere at the Latvian National Opera on December 5, 2014. Guest performance at the Deutsche Opera Berlin on May 19, 2015 is part of the cultural programme of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
