London. Alfred Barnes, Minister of Transport, opens the new London Central Line tube extension from Liverpool Street to Stratford and rides in the first train to run through. Various shots of Mr Barnes opening Liverpool St. station, entering train, driving to Stratford station. Most of the footage is not in chronological order.
