IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION. - This is my cover of the original 1983 studio record, not how Mike Barson plays it today. Over the past few months I have had to pull THE ORIGINAL 1983 RECORD VERSION of this song apart & completely relearn it, as I thought I heard something different in the way Mike Barson played it that I haven`t heard before. After spending ages & ages meticulously studying this song, i`m absolutely positive that this is how Mike Barson PLAYED THIS SONG BACK IN 1983, ON THE ACTUAL STUDIO RECORDING, & live. This is what i`m most interested in, how Mike originally played it & recorded it in 1983. (Also i`ve tried to create a piano sound that is close to the one that Mike Barson used on this record). However, in recent years, Mike now plays `The Sun & The Rain` a bit differently. He plays the choruses a bit like the piano riff on Embarrassment, & he plays the intro & verses like you see me playing them here in this old video This is how everybody plays the intro & verses , (including myself up until now). But, as i`ve recently discovered, the original recording contains subtle changes to the left & right hand parts on the intro & verses, and I discovered new bits in the choruses too, which you can see me performing all of this here.
