Marmalade “My Little One“ & “Is Your Life Your Own” Last ever release by original band

Released on this very date 19 Feb, in 1971 UK Chart no: 15 Recorded Jan ’71 at Decca 2 West Hampstead. Story behind the Song .... Credited, as always, as a “Campbell/McAleese“ (Dean Ford ) composition, as all our songs were, this really was totally written by Dean, for his new baby daughter Tracey. … I just added some alternative chords, structured the song, and scored some strings and cor anglais which I felt gave it the classic soft rock baroque feel which I believed the song merited. Personally, I think it’s a beautiful song and a lovely record, right up there with anything we did. Graham and Alan’s playing on it, absolutely superb. On the same session and included here, we recorded “Is Your Life Your Own” co-written by both of us and one of Deans best ever vocal performances. These were the last two, of the last four ever recordings I did with the boys and by the original band. I left the band about a month after this was released, around mid March ’71
