Like obedient tourists hungry for Indian culture, we treat ourselves to a performance of Bharatanatyam, the classical dance of southern India. We’re a bit surprised by the chubbiness of the dancer, and also by the cabaret-like presentation. Though treated like tourists, we’re still moved by the extreme grace of the gestures and the beauty of the singing.
