New 2024 Ssangyong Torres EVX - Mid Size Rugged Electric SUV

South Korean automaker KG Mobility, formerly known as SsangYong, has unveiled the tech specs for its all-new Torres EVX all-electric crossover, which will hit the domestic market later this year. The Torres EVX visually differs from the standard Torres with a redesigned front end featuring thinner LED headlights, illuminated grille and new bumper intakes. The taillights include a distinctive LED graphic and the tailgate has a distinctive bulge that resembles a spare tire cover. New 20-inch aluminum wheels have been added while maintaining the silhouette. KG Mobility’s electric SUV measures 4,715mm long, 1,890mm wide and 1,725mm high. Interior with state-of-the-art technology A simple design that follows the style of a 100% electric vehicle, adopting a 5-seater cabin and a large long double screen on the front console. Covered in leatherette. Wood grain is applied to the dashboard and floating center console. It comes with a large multi-function steering wheel. The rear luggage compartment capacity has increased from 703 liters on the ICE model to 839 liters. The Torres EVX is powered by a single electric motor with a maximum output of 150 kW, powered by a 73.4 kWh BYD LFP battery pack. The new platform supports front, rear and all-wheel drive powertrains. KG Mobility claims the Torres EVX allows him to travel 500 km on a single charge, but the company adds that the actual range is closer to 420 km. The Torres EVX comes in two variants, the E5 and E7, both sharing the same powertrain and battery. The only difference is in the equipment packaging.
