Olympic NP | Lake Crescent | Barnes Creek Hike | Not for the Faint of Heart

Today was a warm one in Washington, we went to the Olympic Peninsula to escape the heat. Lake Crescent is one of my favorite areas, scenic all months of the year! On this hike we did 7 miles roundtrip and 2000 feet of elevation gain. The hike was hard and a little sketchy at times due to a couple washouts, rickity bridges, and super steep slopes along the narrow trail. If a person was able to they could walk 14 miles to the Aurora Ridge, this end of trail is 5000 feet high and has amazing views.
