The song has since become a fan favorite and a staple of the band’s live shows. It has also been covered by other artists, including jazz vocalist Diane Schuur. Overall, “Invitation“ is a classic example of Shakatak’s sophisticated, funky sound and their ability to craft catchy, memorable songs that blend jazz, pop, and R&B influences.
