4/20/16 Killer Whales hunt California Sea Lion

What an incredible day out on the water! Our 8 Hour All Day Trip witnessed one of the longest, and most action packed California Sea Lion hunts we’ve ever had! This group of 10 Killer Whales prolonged their hunt to allow the juveniles to practice all their maneuvers. Many of the clips show mothers side by side with their young as they approach the sea lion. We also got underwater footage of the encounter when the sea lion attempted to seek shelter under our vessel. The Killer Whales paralleled us watching the California Sea Lion waiting for an opportunity to move toward it again. Our vessel safely moved away from the action as soon as we could to not interrupt the hunt. This makes 8 days straight of Killer Whale sightings and we had beautiful sea conditions!
