Unearthing history: Abandoned WWII relics in the Arctic Tundra

Heavy fighting took place at the most Northern edge of the German Nazi Third Reich back in April 1945. A forgotten battle overshadowed by the Battle of Berlin which took place at the exact same moment. High up North, where conditions where harsh, the remains of the German army that fought in the Soviet Union were on the run for the Red army. Although the Germans where outnumbered and lacked Armored cars and tanks, they still managed to withhold the Red Army at this spot. Much thanks to our local guides there, Stian, Ken and Kim, we managed to find some evidence of that tough metal detecting beasts all these guys are true legends and feel proud and blessed to have meet these guys. Also need to thank Kim2, Viking Jan and Bunker Ben for joining our adventure and for a fun and exciting trip.
