Here is my legacy to gamemusic fans: a compilation of the 100 most beautiful and skillfully executed gamemusics of all time.
Of course it wasn’t an easy task. I could easily choose a 100 musics from Yuzo Koshiro only, but I managed to shrink down the list to only the best of the best, ranging from a variety of consoles and years. To do this I had to make certain boundaries:
- Short musics were cut from the list in favor of most elaborate pieces (ok, there’s one or two shot ones!).
- Arranged musics not made for game consoles/computer were vetoed too.
- Famous tunes (like Legend of Zelda and Mario’s theme) were discarded because its execution were too simplistic for the time being.
