Austin’s First Laps in a Yamaha KT-100 Cadet Kart

Eau Claire, Wisconsin -- Austin turned his first-ever laps in his PCR Yamaha KT-100 cadet kart not on his home track, not in a practice session -- but in WKA Midwest Sprint Series qualifying at Eau Claire Raceway, a track he had never seen until two days prior when he raced it in his kid kart. The driver cleanly began understanding the kart and its vastly different driving demands, to say nothing of the 75-pound increase in weight, to put forth an admirable first-time effort under extremely challenging circ
