China Sanctioned Israel

China Sanctioned Israel #israelpalestineconflict #israel #chinanews While a wider escalation could affect China’s economic interests in the Middle East, the situation allows Beijing to establish more influence in the Global South. Welcome everyone, in today’s video; we’re going to tell you China sanctioned Israel Since the war between Israel and Hamas began on October 7, following Hamas’s massacre, various global entities have been deeply involved in the conflict, either diplomatically or militarily—or both. China, on the other hand, has refrained from criticising Hamas’ strike and from becoming involved diplomatically in order to protect its interests in the Middle East. China is treading carefully in the war in order to protect its interests in both the Middle East and the broader geopolitical arena. Dr. Burcu zçelik, associate director at Audere Group, a global intelligence and security consultancy, told The Media Line that Beijing’s priority since the Hamas massacre has been twofold: “to preserve its reputation as a responsible and rising centre of influence in the Middle East, and to mitigate against risks to its mid-to-long-term geopolitical and economic interests.“ According to zçelik, a doctorate holder from the University of Cambridge, China’s geopolitical policy is built on economic leverage, and Beijing has long sent a hazy message to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East, encourage a peace process, and support a two-state solution. China’s official goal, zçelik stated, is to control the Israel-Hamas conflict. She did, however, point out that it lacks genuine diplomatic clout. Meanwhile, “China sees an opportunity to appeal to the Global South and the proverbial Arab street at a time when anti-American and anti-Western sentiment looks to be on the rise,“ she said. According to Dale Aluf, research director at the Sino-Israel Global Network & Academic Leadership (SIGNAL) Group, China appears to be suffering from conflict cognitive dissonance. On the one hand, Beijing has always endeavoured to present itself as a neutral player in the crisis, he told The Media Line. “It has failed to denounce Hamas and has blamed Israel and the US for the war,“ he continued. Aluf said he is not surprised by China’s reaction because Beijing has long supported Palestinians to varied degrees since Mao Zedong’s period. In many cases, it has done so at the price of Israel, as seen by its UN voting, he said, adding that this is done in order to curry favour with the Arab and Muslim worlds. This time, however, Aluf feels that China’s behaviour is motivated by existing tensions with the United States. “Chinese media’s critical coverage of the United States’ participation in the Middle East implies an attempt by Beijing to divert political capital away from the United States while promoting itself as a responsible global player,“ he said. Aluf discussed Beijing’s diplomatic response to this crisis, claiming that it follows a long-established pattern: “Broadly asking all parties to exercise moderation, calling for a two-state solution, and expressing support for peace talks,“ he said, adding that if the conflict turns into a regional war, it might harm China’s interests in the region. china sanctioned israel israel gaza palestine latest news al jazeera english al jazeera live west bank middle east israel news al jazeera world news israel palestine news idf sanctions gaza strip joe biden latest news english aljazeera live news israel palestine tensions palestine and israel firstpost palki sharma
