Istanbul has been struggling with the most severe stormy weather I have seen in my life for the last 2 days. Many people and stray animals passed away. There had to be someone to help the cats on cat island today. I was there when people couldn’t leave their homes. For my children. At any price. Even if I’m the only person on this island today. It’s against my faith to leave cats alone while huge waves and storms turn cat paradise into hell. I rescued dozens of cats stuck between the rocks and transported them to safe cat houses. Unfortunately, many cats who could not take shelter in the solid cat houses we built passed away. After much struggle, I managed to transfer poor cats to the nearby restaurant. Unfortunately at the end of the day, most cat houses just couldn’t withstand the waves. The furniture cat houses that we built managed to get through this tough day. Without leaking a drop of water. In the following days, as the storm got worse, I moved some of the cat houses to the safe zone. I fed all the cats with wet cat food. I’ll post the damage on cat island in the next section. Do not worry. Such a storm comes to Istanbul once in a hundred years. I will do anything to bring back the happy days on cat island. My condolences to the families of those who lost their life in the storm in Turkey. My lawsuit petition about moving cat houses on the rocks to safe areas. Most likely, this petition will be rejected as soon as possible. The part with the sea and rocks belongs to the state. However, the walking path and green park areas right next to the sea belong to the municipality. As a result of the complaints I made to the district municipalities, I did not receive any positive response. Response from the district municipalities: Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, to which we are affiliated, does not allow this. For this reason, I prepared my complaint petition for the Metropolitan Municipality and sent it to the government. I swear I’ve been doing this for years. I will definitely not get positive results.
