It has been confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy’s will be rated PG-13 for “strong violent content, bloody images and language.“ Given the terrifying nature of the game, the news of a PG-13 adaptation may cause some backlash among fans. However, the description suggests the movie could be pushing the rating limits in terms of the violence. Of course, a great horror movie can still be achieved with a PG-13 rating and there has been a growing number of examples in the genre.
