Comedian / film star / singer Danny Kaye in action at Royal Command Performance 1948 - London Palladium. Unedited footage / cuts / rushes / out takes. Danny singing ’Minnie The Moocher’ on stage. He gets the audience to join in with the call and answer sections, doing a complicated scat bit that no one can follow! End of the song - huge applause. Curtain closes and Danny stands at microphone. He looks behind the curtain, doing some silly business and telling the audience “I’m watching you!“. He introduces “a Bud Flanagan song“ that he heard in a Crazy Gang show when he was last here and starts to sing ’Maybe It’s Because I’m A Londoner’. Cut to Danny singing ’Underneath The Arches’. Conductor Henry Hall hands him some sheet music because he doesn’t know all the words. Bud Flanagan and Chesney Allen enter from stage right, dressed in rags and singing a reprise of the song. Danny joins in with them. Huge applause at the end of the song. A quick bit of patter, then the three start to sing
