Decorating with Slips - How to MAKE and USE Slips in Pottery!
In this video Ann experiments with various slip ideas. Ann demonstrates how to make several types of slip with underglaze, Mason stains, and hemp oil. (OK, that last part may not be true) She incorporates several ideas into one psychedelic piece that looks really cool under a black light. The idea is to inspire experimentation and learning into the creative process. As always, its great video to just relax to and watch while you nosh on peanut brittle. Try some new ideas, make some slip for gosh ’s a big meteor headed this way anyhow.
If you would like to learn Ann’s underglaze painting, glazing, and decorating process then check out Ann’s Video Workshop Series. These workshops are very detailed (typically 1.5 - 2 hours in length) where Ann provides step by step instruction and are designed to help potters take their work to new levels of craftsmanship and artistry.
