Napolitana (TWV 41:B4) Hautbois d’Amour, ou d’autres instruments, Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767)
Shepards making music in the fields to celebrate the newborn Child. That’s easy to imagine while listening to this piece. Another piece from Telemann’s “Der getreue Musikmeister“ collection. Only two voices dancing around each other. Simple, but very well composed.
It’s written for Oboe d’Amore or for other instruments. I’ve played the original score. Not on a Baroque organ but on the romantic Cavaille-Coll organ from Oloron-Sainte Marie. I think it’s fits this particular piece very well. Let me know what you think.
I you like my organ performances, please consider to buy me a coffee. I buy new Hauptwerk sample sets regularly to keep my channel exiting. You can help me with that! :-)
