Voted best Swedish song of all times. Walking & listening to “Strövtåg i hembygden” by Mando Diao

Lovely forest walk to magical music. Popular radio music chart show Svensktoppen has been around for 60 years. Part of the celebration was letting listeners vote for the best song on the chart ever. The winner is this lovely tune, a rather unexpected hit I would say. The pop/rock band Mando Diao surprised the audience and industry by releasing an album where they had put music to old poems by Gustaf Fröding. And they did it very well indeed. This is the biggest hit from that album, and has become a classic. Now, it has to be said that songs in English was not allowed on Svensktoppen until 2003, so classics by ABBA and many more were not in the running for this contest.
