Matthew McConaughey pleas for gun control at White House – BBC News

Three weeks after a school shooting in Texas, which left 19 children and two teachers dead, actor Matthew McConaughey has spoken at the White House to advocate for “responsible gun ownership“. The Hollywood star, who was born in Uvalde where the attack happened, said the US had a “window of opportunity“ for “real change“. The actor pointed to a pair of green Converse, held by his wife Camila Alves, which were used to identify a schoolgirl who was killed in the massacre.
