The Arab Uprisings: How Did We Get Here?

Margaret MacMillan, warden at University of Oxford’s St. Antony’s College, professor of history at University of Toronto, and author of Paris 1919: Six Months that Changed the World, gives an overview of the Arab Uprisings, and discusses the history and political consequences surrounding the events in the region from the past year. This session was part of a CFR symposium, Implications of the Arab Uprisings, which was made possible by the generous support of Rita E.
