AMARIIA - Satellite (Live from Ukrainian charity tour 2023)

With ‘Satellite’ AMARIIA entered the national semi-final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 being one of the twenty candidates competing to represent her native country in the global final. Talking to singer and bandleader Mariia Arkhipova she tells us that ‘I wrote the lyrics spontaneously inspired by one particular evening where I watched the dark bright sky observing a fast bright moving object: a satellite!’ She decided to use this image as a metaphor for love, friendship and relationship. Portraying the emerald in the sky as her personal companion, she realized the image can symbolize anyone’s companion in one’s own personal universe.
