At Canyon we realized while testing the very first e-MTB, the Spectral:ON, that e-assist had huge potential in gravity. After all, more laps equal more fun, and shuttle or lift access is not widely available across the world’s trail networks.
But in the early days e-MTB, there were many doubts if the product could work in the gravity world. Could the bikes be strong enough? Could they handle well enough?
During this time E-Enduro racing also started developing rapidly, so our passion for both innovation and racing led us to begin two new R&D projects focussed on creating e-MTB’s with true gravity performance and capability. And with that, the Torque:ON and Strive:ON were born.
Torque:ON CF: The first edition Torque:ON AL launched 2 years ago proved to us that an e-MTB could be tough enough and playful enough for gravity riders. Our latest Torque:ON CF aims to take this gravity segment of e-MTB to a new level – drawing design inspiration from DH and Motocross to create a blend of all-out Category 5 durability and fun freeride ready handling. The industry-leading 900Wh Canyon power plants and Shimano’s compact, lightweight EP8 motor stack up to make Torque:ON CF game changer in the long travel e-MTB world.
Strive:ON CFR: An e-MTB which is wired for speed from the ground up. Developed with legendary racer Fabien Barel to meet the huge demands of E-Enduro World Cup racing. The Strive:ON is engineered to bring enduro performance to the world of e-MTB with a lightweight CFR carbon chassis, powerful Bosch Performance Line CX , and CX Race, motor options and up to 750Wh battery capacity.
