This letter song teaches children - how to identify the beginning sound of a word, - that letters make different letter sounds (phonics), - how to write the letter, - and how to sign the letters in ASL. Note: The letters are not arranged in alphabetic order but rater by their formation strokes. The Handwriting Heroes program was developed by Cheryl Bregman, a pediatric occupational therapist specializing in handwriting instruction and remediation for students in preschool, kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, and in special education.
