Judge dismisses Alec Baldwin involuntary manslaughter trial

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer on July 12 ruled that the prosecution improperly withheld potential evidence from the defense team. Baldwin had been on trial for involuntary manslaughter for the 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust.
