Background: Launching of British-built Biplane ’Calcutta’. Built for Imperial Airways and equipped with three Bristol Jupiter engines the seaplane ’Calcutta’ (15,000 H.P. with seating for fifteen and fitted with a kitchen was launched in Rochester on February 14th, 1928.
