Speed Endurance & 1v1

This 1on1 soccer drill focuses on developing players’ speed endurance, attacking and defending 1v1 skills. Players work in pairs. The size of the area should be created adequate to the given age category. The progression starts at coach sign. Important is to pair the players with equal abilities. Variation 1: Players accelerate to the same and determined direction at the coach’s command. They have to turn around the other three poles running outside the area, then they can get into the playing area by turning around the pole at their starting position. The fastest player gets the ball from the coach and tries to finish the 1v1 situation against his opponent. Variation 2: In this variation players start their movements with a ball, they dribble around the determined number of poles and try to score to the opposite goal. The faster goal scorer gets the ball from the coach and tries to score as an attacker against the opposition. If the defender wins the ball the game continues after a quick interchange.
