You are, O Devi, the ruler of all that is moving and unmoving. You are the support of the world. You are the power of Vishnu, and have endless valour. You are the primaeval maya, which is the source of the universe; by you all this (universe) has been thrown into an illusion. Salutation to you, O Devi Narayani, O you are our bestow us with enjoyment and are time. You are auspicious. O three eyed Gauri! You have the power of creation, sustenance and destruction and are eternal. You are the support and embodiment of the three gunas. You save the dejected and distressed that seek your refuge. You are good fortune, modesty, great wisdom, faith and nourishment. When satisfied, you destroy all illness but when wrathful you put an end to all the longed-for desires. No calamity befalls men who have sought you. Who is there except you in the sciences, in the scriptures, and in the Vedic sayings to light the lamp of discrimination? You cause this universe to whirl about again and again within the dense darkness of the depths of attachment. You are the (goddess) worthy to be adored by the Lord of the universe. O Devi, be pleased and protect us always from fear of foes, as you have done just now by the slaughter of asuras. And destroy the sins of all worlds and the great calamities, which have sprung from the maturing of evil portents. O Devi you who remove the afflictions of the universe, be gracious to us, give boons to all of us. हे देवी, आप सब दुखों को हरती हो। कृपा कीजिए। हे भगवती, जगत की सुरक्षा कीजिए। देवी आप निर्जीव और जीवों की शासक हो। आप दुनिया का आधार हो। आप विष्णु की शक्ति हो, और अनंत पराक्रम हो। आप आदिमाया हो, जो ब्रह्माण्ड का स्रोत है; आपने सभी को इस मोह-माया में डाल दिया है। आपको नमस्कार हैं। हे देवी नारायणी, आप ही हमारी बुद्धि हो। आप हमें आनंद और मोक्ष प्रदान करती हो। आप समय हो। आप शुभ हो। तीन आंखों वाली गौरी, आप सृजन, पोषण और नाश की शक्ति हो और शाश्वत हो। आप त्रिगुणों का आधार और मूर्त रूप हो। आप अपने शरण में आनेवाले दुखियारों को बचाती हो। आप भाग्य, विनम्रता, महान ज्ञान, श्रद्धा और पोषण हो। संतुष्ट होने पर आप रोगों को नष्ट करती हो, लेकिन क्रोधित होने पर आप उन सभी चीज़ों को समाप्त करती हो जिसकी हमें इच्छा है। जिन लोगों ने आपको पाया हैं, उन पर कोई आपत्ति नहीं आती। विज्ञान, शास्त्रों और वैदिक श्लोकों में आपके सिवा कौन है, जो विवेक की ज्योति को प्रकाशित करती है? आप ही इस ब्रह्माण्ड को आसक्ति के गहरे अंधकार में रखती हो। आप ईश्वर को भी पूजनीय हो। हे देवी, हमें भय से मुक्त करो, जैसा कि अभी आपने राक्षसों का वध करके किया है। सभी लोकों के पाप और विकट आपदाओं को नष्ट कीजिए। ब्रह्माण्ड के दुखों को हरनेवाली देवी, हमारे प्रति कृपाशील रहिए, सबको वरद
